Beginning and End

As the years pass, I can see even more how the New Testament, post-Jesus, part of Scripture is dependant upon familiarity with the Old Testament, pre-Jesus, Scripture. What I picked up on this morning was how Revelation 1:8,

"'I am the Alpha (first letter of the Greek alphabet)

and the Omega (last Greek letter)',

says the LORD God,

who is and was and who is to come, the Almighty"

picks up on these words of Isaiah 43:6 ...

Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel
and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
I am the first and I am the last;
besides me there is no god.

May God be the beginning and end of my day today. And may it be so for you as well.
